Hip Hop Legend Big Boy Receives A Hollywood Star

Big Boy has been iconic tor the rap game for more than 30 years, and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is finally giving him something he has long earned. A Hollywood Star. Big Boy will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and to put the cherry on top, the award will be presented to him by the legendary Dr. Dre. They also happen to be good friends. The star will be presented under the category of radio, and the ceremony will be taking place on Big Boy's 52nd birthday.

The award can be said to be long overdue. His resume on the hip hop scene extends back into the 90's when he was DJ'ing the biggest house parties on the West Coast, as well and being a bodyguard for the classic hip hop group The Pharcyde. He's DJ'd on Power 106 for over 20years as well as been a radio personality. He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2015.

Even through his decades-long grind, he continues to add to his resume even now. He is launching a new show called After Hours with Big Boy. The show premiers on Oct. 7th and will have special celebrity guests in the hot seat. The show will be interactive and allow fans to join in on the experience live. With so many things that he's done, and still is doing, we're glad that he's cementing his legacy on the Hollywood Walk of Fame forever.
